Witches have been beguiling audiences basically since there have been stories. Strange women with supernatural powers who often live outside of society — sometimes they’re good, sometimes they’re bad — but they always captivate our attention. There have been countless iconic witches in movies, TV, comic books, et. over the decades (hell, centuries). And now, the Great Pop Culture Debate podcast wants to light the black candle and summon the best pop-culture witch of all time — and we want YOUR opinions!
Below find a list of notable pop-culture witches. (You can also find the poll by clicking here.) For our purposes, we stuck almost exclusively to women (with a few notable exceptions) who were defined within their works as “witches,” and who did in fact have some kind of magical powers. Pick your favorite witches from the list — you can select as many as you like. NOTE: The list is randomized every time you take the form, so if you’re looking for a specific name, search by using Ctrl+F.
