Since debuting in 2009, “RuPaul’s Drag Race” has evolved from a plucky little show subverting reality competition conventions into an Emmy-winning entertainment juggernaut. Each episode serves up astonishing performances, compelling drama, and gag-worthy fashion moments that have made it very much a pop-culture phenomenon.
Over the course of 13 seasons and more than a dozen spinoff series, hundreds of drag queens have sashayed into and away from the Werk Room, and over the years they’ve raised the fashion bar — some of them even challenging Ms. Charles’ title as Supermodel of the World. Now the Great Pop Culture Debate wants to look back and decide: what are the Best Runway Looks from RuPaul’s Drag Race?
Host Eric Rezsnyak and panelists Curtis Creekmore, Gary Jackson, and Karissa Kloss head to the mainstage as they start at the first in a series, this time focusing on the best fashions from Seasons 1 through 6.
