1. “Prove Your Love”

While not her most famous track, “Prove Your Love” embodies the very best of 80s dance pop in a high-intensity, synthed track, including a Van Halen-esque guitar solo.

2. “Tell It To My Heart”

Taylor’s signature track, as well as her debut, it has remained a staple of every gay tea dance, lip synch for your life, and Pride parties for 30+ years. Even decades later, “Tell It To My Heart” still slaps.

3. “Love Will Lead You Back”

A Diane Warren-penned ballad, “Love Will Lead You Back” sees Taylor singing longingly for a lover long gone, and their hopeful return. It’s so impressive how effectively she goes from soft to sweeping power vocals. This is also her only Billboard Hot 100 #1.

4. “I’ll Be Your Shelter”

A true mid-tempo pop-rock gem, on “I’ll Be Your Shelter” Taylor delivers lyric-heavy verses, chock full of words delivered with such ease, it’s hard for any other singer to keep up. Try at karaoke: it’s a Herculean task.

5. “With Every Beat of My Heart”

The first release off her second album, Can’t Fight Fate, “With Every Beat of My Heart” gives Taylor fans what they need: a dance track with a catchy hook, that shows off the pipes and gets the toes tapping.

6. “What Ever You Want (Remix)”

Originally written for Tina Turner’s 1996 Wildest Dreams album, Taylor re-recorded the song two years later, both as a Bond-theme-styled ballad, but even more successfully as a late-90s banger of a dance remix. You can almost smell the ecstasy and Curve as Taylor holds those extended notes.

7. “Don’t Rush Me”

Completing the trifecta of dance classics from the Tell it to My Heart album, “Don’t Rush Me” makes perfect use of Taylor’s vocals in tandem with a sexy bass line and keyboards, producing an enticing song.

8. “Say a Prayer (Boss David Morales Remix)”

Originally recorded for Taylor’s 1993 Soul Dancing album, for this song Taylor paired with iconic DJ David Morales to reimagine “Say a Prayer” from an R&B-tinged track to a dance song with serious fire and heat; it was another No. 1 dance track.

9. “Send Me a Lover”

Sure, Taylor can sing high energy. But can she also take you to church? “Send Me a Lover” emotes the heartbreak of a woman in need of tenderness. Will you shed a tear? You sure will.

10. “Floor on Fire (Remix)”

Taylor isn’t just a novelty act! “Floor on Fire” enraptures the listener with a pounding EDM beat, getting all the young folks going. Yet that voice is unencumbered by any hint of AutoTune. Proof that Taylor is timeless.
