POLL: Best 2000’s Sitcom

June 26, 2020

Thanks for your interest in this topic! The poll is now closed, but you can now listen to the episodes of the podcast in which we discuss the results. Click here for Part 1, or click here to skip to the Sweet 16 all the way to the end.

A LOT of sitcoms aired on American television between January 1, 2000 and December 31, 2009. A lot a lot. Some were holdovers from the 1990s (“Friends,” “The Simpsons,” “South Park”), some were new and instant megahits (“Modern Family,” “The Big Bang Theory”), and some started slow and turned into cult classics (“The Office,” “30 Rock,” “Arrested Development”). And still others were DOA (sorry, “Emily’s Reasons Why Not”). So join us as we take a TV trip back 20 YEARS as The Great Pop Culture Debate wants to determine the Best Sitcom of the 2000s!

Click this link to the take the survey — or fill out the one in the window below — to pick 32 of your favorite 2000s sitcoms. Make sure to send it to your TV-loving friends! Or the actual cast of “Friends,” if you want. The most popular picks will make up the final bracket, which will be debated in Season 2 of The Great Pop Culture Debate, dropping in late summer/early fall 2020.
