The Summer Olympics are back in 2024, as the XXXIII Olympiad will take place in Paris, France, July 26-August 11. While we at the Great Pop Culture Debate might not generally be super into sports, we LOVE the Olympics. As part of our 2024 Summer Specials, we’re doing a special episode devoted to the Best Summer Olympics Sporting Event — and we need YOUR votes
Below find a list of 50 sporting events that will be included in the 2024 Olympics, or which have appeared in the past few games. (If you’re taking this on a mobile device, we recommend clicking here for ease of use.) Note that for our purposes, we broke the broad Athletics categories into subcategories, as they are such wildly different events to watch. Those subcategories are: Running/Sprinting/Walking, Marathon, Hurdles, Steeplechase, Relay Running, Jumping, Throwing, and Decathlon.
